The IndieCade Playable Theatre Symposium 2026 is a two-day, in-person series of events for scholars, students, creatives, and the curious, exploring the ever-evolving medium of playable theatre. Virtual-reality performance, live-action role-play, jubensha, improvised digital escape rooms, and alternate reality games all fall under this umbrella. Sponsored by the UC Game Lab in the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati, in collaboration with the Taft Research Center.

Embrace a harrowing journey within Fracture—a Nordic larp where a trip to summer camp becomes a crucible for death and rebirth at the hands of mysterious cultists: how long until you break?

In Fracture, you'll experience a weekend-long Nordic larp experience that merges splatterpunk and psychological horror, to be run at Ye Olde Commons, in Charlton, Massachusetts, Labor Day Weekend, August 30th–September 1st 2024. It is set in the extended universe of Reverie Studio's premier blockbuster event Eskhaton and features cultists lurking in the foreboding woods waiting to convert unsuspecting campers, in a cosmic horror setting. Participants will be campers and cultists, with campers dying and becoming cultists.

Build dance cards, discover mysteries, negotiate allowances, and slight old rivals. No happy ending ever did come easy. Dancing will be instructed by a professional caller. Join us for an afternoon of puzzles, mystery, and dysfunctional family drama on March 16th. See if you can help as the seven quirky Strangebellow children fight over the inheritance of their late father. This is a comedic interactive theater piece in which you can choose to help or hinder the interactive characters as they each vie to be the sole inheritor of the family's hidden War Bonds treasure.

This event is sponsored by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and is a charity benefit show for Boston GLASS and Company 2 Heroes!

Undersigned is a deeply personal and introspective psychological thriller for an audience of one.

Depending on your choices, it will last between 40-50 minutes. Your participation will involve an invocation, a blindfold, and a pointed discussion.

The topic of this discussion will vary based on your input, and may include but are not limited to Money, Power, Sex, Pleasure, Violence, Blood, Body Horror, Moral Horror, Economic Horror, Wild Conjecture, and the Occult. You are invited to entertain or dismiss any topic of discussion that arises, or may request in advance that a topic be off limits. ​

This experience is decidedly in-person, and proof of vaccination is required.​

In lieu of a traditional ticketing system, payment for this experience will be made through a "Down-Payment" System.
